Axel Pedersen took another podium after a strong weekend in Buriram. "We made big changes to the bike on Thursday and spent most of the weekend acclimatizing to the new setup. In qualifying my strategy was to stay out for the full session and not worry about the tow." Halfway through the qualifying session, Axel was leading the timesheets as the other riders were trying to get a tow. Axel qualified 5th on the grid and after making a small adjustment to the rear suspension during warm-up, had great race pace. During the race, Axel managed to stay with the lead pack and eventually finished 3rd in his class, 4 seconds off the lead and 0.2 seconds off second place.

Finishing positions at round 2 were:

  1. Passakorn Sanluang

  2. Suttipoj Patchareetorn

  3. Axel Pedersen

  4. Pongsatit Sanluang

  5. Pawonprat Kingjumpa

On the podium!

Axel Pedersen aboard his AMP Racing Kawasaki Ninja 400 takes third place after a difficult race on wet tires in mixed conditions. Axel found morning warm-up in the full wet conditions enjoyable but found it hard to find the pace when the track was slowly drying off. "Last year, if the result was 3rd place, we would've been looking at our best result. So even though the weekend was very difficult, it is a good reminder of the progress we've made since last year."
